April Family Friday was a celebration of International Year of Glass - very kindly funded by the Institute of Physics through one of their Schools Grants.
We had: periscopes; mirror snooker; mirror money multipliers; make your own kaleidoscope; broomstick flying using mirror trickery; one way mirrors; bendy mirrors and anamorphic art; upside-down goggles; fibre optic lamps and endoscopes; 3D glasses; and making invisible pictures that can be seen only when between a pair of polarising filters. The same resources have been much enjoyed during our science week alongside demonstrations from a real life glass blower!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
